This is a continuing emergency bulletin.
Seven campers remain missing from Black Pines Campground.
Search efforts have continued for several days. Teams combed the forest, Lake Texar, and the surrounding hills. No trace of the missing has been recovered.
From my position on site: the FIVE search dogs refused to enter the woods. Equipment malfunctioned in my hands. Compasses spun without direction. Every trail led back to the same clearing. The men are shaken. I am shaken. The forest does not want us here.
Note: Officer Mallory was later relieved of duty. Commanding officer stated he was “stirring up the parents” and dismissed his claims as hysteria.
Age: 13
Description: Blonde hair, blue eyes, medium build, approx. 5'2". Wearing denim jacket and sneakers.
Last Seen: Down by Lake Texar, 11/28/1987
Witness Statement: “He was fishing at the shoreline. Walked toward the dock and did not return.”
Evidence: Tackle box left open, footprints leading into mud.

Description: Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, tall, approx. 5'8". Wearing flannel shirt and boots.
Last Seen: TWO hours before dissapearance Near the house by the forest edge, 11/29/1987
Witness Statement: “Subject entered abandoned house. Neighbors reported hearing doors slam. Did not exit.”
Evidence: Broken glass, overturned chair.

Description: Light brown hair, green eyes, approx. 5'4". Wearing camp-issued sweatshirt and jeans.
Last Seen: Girls’ Cabin, 12/01/1987
Witness Statement: “Last seen leaving cabin with lantern. Door found ajar.”
Evidence: Fabric torn on nail, lantern extinguished.

Description: Short black hair, brown eyes, approx. 4'11". Wearing striped t-shirt and shorts.

Witness Statement: “He left to fetch water. Did not return.”
Evidence: Jug found overturned, footprints ended abruptly.

Description: Sandy hair, grey eyes, approx. 5'3". Wearing windbreaker and hiking boots.
Last Seen: Cave Entrance, 12/03/1987
Witness Statement: “Seen standing at cave mouth. Appeared disoriented.”
Evidence: Torch found extinguished, cave wall markings resembling scratches.

Description: Auburn hair, blue eyes, approx. 5'5". Wearing long coat and scarf.

Witness Statement: “She was calling out names into the cave. Did not return.”
Evidence: Notebook with half‑written entry, pages smudged with moisture.
